LET THERE BE LIGHT. Should be a crime to cover up that much natural light, but in the 80s, they cared a lil more about cash flow than resident experience. Previous developers reconfigured the layouts to add in more rooms, which meant covering up 300 windows to create bathrooms. Stupid, we know, but don’t fret! We’re here to save all the natural light | Molzer Development

Imagine breaking open a wall and finding history… That’s essentially been every other day here at the Aladdin. In 1925, the hotel was built with storefronts on the north side. More to come on these doors! | Molzer Development

40 years of being hidden….the Barrel Ceiling has been rescued🥹 This is the moment we’ve been waiting for since we acquired the Aladdin over a year ago. The original elements of the 16th floor ballroom and future rooftop bar were what pulled us to this project, and to finally get a glimpse of what this space looked like is indescribable. So many more videos coming out about this soon, but tell us what you wanna know more about! | Molzer Development

Making Barrel Ceilings the new 2025 Design Trend 🥇 Because yes, they’re timeless, but rare! In 1925 they built things slow and intentionally, pretty opposite from how we do things now. This is definitely one of the highest anticipated restorations of this project, so stay tuned🚘💨📸👷‍♂️🫣👷‍♂️ | Molzer Development

Can’t say we were expecting to find this... When we acquired the building, the first floor was layered and has been the hotel’s cafe for around 30 years. We couldn’t quite explain it, till now. Turns out there is something cool hidden beneath every unoriginal surface in this building. Our challenge now? Leveling out the floors to create the Kansas City’s classiest gym, but don’t worry, we’ve got that covered;) | Molzer Development

1. Know the right people. Relationships aren’t just who you know, they’re who trusts you enough to pick up the phone when you call. 2. Build Credibility…in Public. Don’t hide behind your laptop, share your progress, setbacks and lessons openly so people can watch you build in real time. Public credibility compounds, and helps people know me before they meet me. 3. Hire a Master in Storytelling. If you’re like me and lack the tech savvy skills to manage social pages, prioritize hiring someone to

Let’s talk terrazzo restoration👇 Covered with carpet for over 40 years, it’s time to restore the floor. Let’s just say, it’s going to be a journey. A tedious task that will definitely use tons of elbow grease, but totally worth every minute spent. | Molzer Development

The Aladdin groundbreaking 1925. The Aladdin wallbreaking 2025. A new history for the Aladdin has begun. This project means so much to our team, our partners and our great city. Humbled by the support from the community on this day, the energy we received fuels our fire to begin more projects full of this much heart and passion. Together, we are breathing new life into the downtown, and doing it in a way that inspires more individuals to work, play, and live in the heart of the Midwest. @treasur

It’s been 365 days since we got the keys to the Aladdin Hotel. This icon, that has served Kansas City and Travelers for 100 years, deserves a facelift more than anyone. It’s been a whirlwind of a year, and can’t believe we’ve received so much support on this project. Thank you Kansas City! Can’t wait to see what the next year brings👀 | Molzer Development

The Lorax would be shaking right now Good thing it’s click bait! We know that tearing down trees isn’t a good look, but it’s not the whole story. Most developers like to be secret, we prefer transparency. These Bradford pairs are icky, invasive trees that are liabilities for us. They’re getting replaced with columnar trees, which will help keep residents safe, and views from our spaces clear. What other behind the scenes stuff do you wanna know? | Molzer Development

Meet Paul Tezon! The Aladdin’s Mechanical Engineer since 2013. This century old building is a remarkable testament to rich Kansas City History, but also to the dedicated citizens who worked hard to bring this place life over the years. So honored to have brought Paul back on this project, and use his experience here to guide our journey. | Molzer Development
